At TJS Installations we take pride in transforming homes into more functional and energy-efficient spaces. Recently, we had the pleasure of working with Mr. Wright, who initially contacted us for a wood burner installation. However, the project expanded into a comprehensive home improvement journey, showcasing the wide range of services we offer.
Warm Roof Conversion: Upgrading the Conservatory
Mr. Wright’s existing conservatory featured an outdated and inefficient roof. To modernise the space, we:
- Removed the old roof structure.
- Built a new, sturdy wooden framework tailored to the conservatory’s design.
- Installed a Velux window to introduce natural light.
- Added high-quality insulation for improved thermal efficiency.
- Finished the roof with sleek, slate-effect UPVC tiles for a durable and stylish appearance.
These upgrades have transformed the conservatory into a more comfortable and functional living space, perfect for use year-round.
Modernising the Conservatory Entrance
To enhance accessibility and aesthetics, we:
- Removed the old bi-folding doors.
- Created a clean, modern square walkway leading into the conservatory.
- Installed new spotlights, adding sleek and practical lighting to the space.
The result is a more seamless connection between the main house and the conservatory, elevating the overall flow of the home.
Additional Home Improvements
Our work didn’t stop with the conservatory. We tackled several other projects to meet Mr. Wright’s needs, including:
- Blocking up an old, unused window for a cleaner look.
- Building a practical storage cupboard under the stairs.
- Completing all necessary plumbing, carpentry, electrical, plastering, and building works to ensure a polished finish.
Future Plans
Our collaboration with Mr. Wright continues! In the new year, we’ll be returning to install elegant new oak doors throughout the property. We’re also excited to start plans for a modern kitchen renovation, ensuring the home meets all of Mr. Wright’s style and functional preferences.
