What is a Fireplace Media Wall?
With many of our homes now jam-packed full of exciting new technology – including some wonderful new innovations in electric fireplaces, there has been a recent surge of interest in how we can best display and use all that tech together in a neat and stylish way.
The answer is a media wall. A bespoke media wall is the ideal way of using an often-featureless existing wall to display your TV and home entertainment systems, all thoughtfully designed to fully complement your TJS fire of course!
Media walls keep your living room clean, neat, and tidy, and are available with a multitude of cupboard and shelving options. They are an affordable way of bringing that extra bit of luxury to the areas in your home where you like to relax and unwind.
A media wall can work with all types of fireplace installations, from electric fires, multi-fuel stoves and fireplace suites, and here at TJS Installations, we can come and complete a site survey to assess the location and your needs to present your ideal media wall installation.
In addition, if you already have a chimney breast, a media wall is a great way to extend the area to make full use of all the empty space.
Which fireplaces are suitable for a media wall?
Most fires are suitable for a media wall, but our inset electric fires are ideal for use in a media wall, and our SLE100, SLE150, SLE200 and SLE75 electric fires can all be fitted as corner, front facing or panoramic installations. All feature itronic effect technology and a high definition, hand crafted ceramic log fuel bed.

Fireplace Media Wall Installation
From the initial survey for this job in Weston Favell Village, Northampton our customer at first just wanted to modernise the room. They were looking for a few different designs to see what was feasible, so our team drew up some bespoke options to consider.
From Multi Fuel, Electric and Gas, they favoured the gas option.
We removed an old gas fireplace and designed a false chimney breast to include a modern Vision Trimline 1700 balanced flue gas fire, TV and Sonos Sound System along with some bespoke granite slips. To the side we installed made-to-measure fitted cupboards and oak shelving with lighting built in.

Moulton, Northampton
Fireplace Media Wall and False Chimney Breast Installation
From the initial survey for this job in Moulton, Northampton our customer was keen on the idea of a media wall to include a stand-alone Electric Fire.
After we designed a false chimney breast, and some bespoke made cupboards with matching shelving, our design brought their fireplace media wall dream to reality.
After coming into our Northampton showroom, they decided to add Capital Rusty Slate Chamber Set to clad the opening, and a Wooden Oak Beam to finish. We altered all the electrics, to bring the sockets into the chimney breast for the TV and Sky Box. We aso, added x2 spotlights for the alcoves.
